European Energy has launched the Kvosted solar and battery park in Viborg Municipality, Denmark, featuring a 200 MWh battery system, the largest in Northern Europe. This facility enhances grid stability by storing local solar power and aims to support Denmark's renewable energy transition, with plans to expand battery capacity across Europe to over 1 GW by 2027. The park, operational since 2022, can power approximately 18,000 households daily and will officially open on February 2, 2026.
