Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN) has signed a contract for the Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion project with the DEC-ENTEC-TTP Consortium, involving an investment of VND 3.96 trillion ($158 million) and aiming for commissioning in Q4 2027. The contract, valued at VND 1.113 trillion ($44.5 million), focuses on supplying electromechanical equipment to enhance power capacity in southern Vietnam, with construction set to begin in 2025. The project will be financed through a mix of 30% equity and 70% commercial loans, emphasizing quality and schedule management.
