NATURAL GAS

Gbite and Leye Falade, identical twins and alumni of Shell Nigeria, are positioned to influence Nigeria's energy landscape significantly. Leye will become the chief executive of Nigeria LNG (NLNG) in April 2026, overseeing a $7 billion expansion project aimed at increasing gas production from 22 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 30 mtpa.

He brings extensive experience from his tenure as managing director of Brunei LNG and various roles at Shell. Gbite, leading Aradel Holdings since February 2021, has transformed the company from Niger Delta Exploration and Petroleum into a diversified energy firm.

Under his leadership, Aradel listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group in October 2024 and completed significant acquisitions, including a $2.4 billion deal for Shell's onshore assets. His strategy focuses on enhancing local industry capabilities while leveraging his background in petroleum economics and executive positions in major firms.
