FirstLight has expanded its power purchase agreement with Energy New England to supply 197 gigawatt hours of hydropower annually to 21 municipal public power entities in New England through 2040. This agreement supports the energy needs of approximately 20,000 homes while ensuring compliance with Massachusetts' mandate for 50% carbon-free power by 2030. Power will be sourced from FirstLight's Cabot and Turners Falls hydroelectric facilities, which have a combined capacity of 68 megawatts.
