Florida Polytechnic University Receives $2.9M for AI and Cybersecurity Laboratory

Florida Polytechnic University has secured $2.9 million in federal funding to establish the Public Service Applied Innovation Laboratory (PSAIL), aimed at enhancing education in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Supported by Congressman Scott Franklin, the initiative will include a new Security Operations Center in collaboration with Sittadel, focusing on advanced cybersecurity defenses and workforce development. The PSAIL will facilitate hands-on training and research, benefiting public safety through partnerships, including with the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
