Fort Bliss UESC Project Completed, Projected to Save $136M Over 24 Years

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center has completed a $58 million Utility Energy Services Contract project at Fort Bliss, Texas, expected to save over $136 million over 24 years. The initiative, executed by New Mexico Gas Company and Energy Systems Group, includes LED lighting upgrades, water security enhancements, and a microgrid with energy storage systems, resulting in a 49% reduction in monthly water purchases. The collaboration among stakeholders was essential to the project's success, allowing Fort Bliss to focus resources on critical mission needs.
