Fort Hunter Liggett in Monterey, CA, will upgrade the historic Hacienda lodge's HVAC and domestic hot water systems with a $9.6 million investment. The project aims to improve indoor air quality and enhance the guest experience through a new geothermal system.

Funding was secured through the Army's REFoRM program and additional Army Energy and Utility Program funds. The upgrades will be completed in four years, coinciding with the Hacienda's 100th anniversary in 2030.
