The French Navy has upgraded its Mistral-class LHDs with CAT EYE H20 electro-optic/infrared systems to improve threat detection capabilities. This system, previously utilized on land, offers advanced day/night surveillance and operates effectively in low visibility, with ranges of up to 20 km at night and 40 km during the day. The Navy is also integrating TRAKKA Systems' TC-375M EO/IR system on the Dixmude LHD as part of broader fleet enhancements to counter increasing threats from unmanned vehicles.
