Gasunie is conducting flaring operations in Stade-Bützfleth to prepare for the connection of the Energietransportleitung (ETL) 179.200 to the existing gas network. The operations involve using a mobile compressor to remove gas and subsequently burning off remaining gas to reduce methane emissions.

This process, occurring on February 26, is monitored and complies with EU environmental regulations. The ETL will connect the under-construction LNG terminal in Stade with the gas transport network, enhancing Germany's energy supply.
