General Olufemi Oluyede, Chief of Defence Staff of Nigeria, assured Professor Ayo Omotayo, Director-General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), of strengthened collaboration between the Armed Forces of Nigeria and NIPSS. This assurance was given during a courtesy visit on Thursday.

General Oluyede praised NIPSS's role in national development through strategic manpower cultivation and research, emphasizing the need for practical solutions to Nigeria's challenges. He expressed full support from the Armed Forces to help NIPSS achieve its objectives.

Professor Omotayo acknowledged the Armed Forces' contributions to national security and discussed ongoing partnerships with the Nigerian Army to develop solutions. He also outlined plans to reposition NIPSS as a prominent African think-tank and requested continued support from the Armed Forces for enhancing the Institute's educational environment.
