Germany Launches FullStaQD Quantum Computing Software Stack Led by Fraunhofer IAO
QUANTUM COMPUTING
Germany is initiating the FullStaQD project to develop a modular, interoperable quantum computing software stack, led by Fraunhofer IAO and funded by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Spaceflight. The project involves nine partners from research and industry, aiming to create a unified architecture for software and hardware integration.
EleQtron, based in Siegen, serves as the sole hardware partner, providing MAGIC-based ion-trap processors for the project's testbed. FullStaQD addresses the challenge of incompatible software tools in Europe’s quantum ecosystem by introducing standardized interfaces and a shared architecture.
