Germany to Order €536 Million Worth of Attack Drones from Helsing and Stark Defense
DEFENSE
The German government plans to procure attack drones valued at €536 million ($638 million) from startups Helsing and Stark Defense. This order is part of a rearmament push following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The contracts, for drones capable of hovering over potential strike areas, are part of a broader framework agreement worth €4.3 billion. They are expected to receive approval from the budget committee of the Bundestag and will initially support Germany's 45th Tank Brigade stationed in Lithuania, with delivery planned by early 2027.
