Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) is set to double its gas processing capacity to 300 million standard cubic feet per day with the Gas Processing Plant 2 (GPP 2) project, aimed at reducing gas flaring and improving methane management. The initiative has received the necessary construction permit and is part of GNGC's broader commitment to sustainability, which includes afforestation efforts and advanced leak detection systems. Since 2014, GNGC has successfully halved gas flaring levels while investing in partnerships to meet Ghana's emission reduction goals.
