Ghost Robotics Launches Manipulator Arm for Vision 60 Q-UGV to Enhance Operational Capabilities
Ghost Robotics has launched a new Manipulator Arm for its Vision 60 Quadruped Unmanned Ground Vehicle (Q-UGV), allowing for precise manipulation in challenging environments. The lightweight, modular arm mounts on top of the Vision 60, enabling tasks such as opening doors and retrieving objects, while preserving the robot's agility.
With six degrees of freedom, the arm offers smooth, force-sensitive control. The Vision 60, utilized by the U.S. Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force, is designed for various applications including defense, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), and disaster response.
The arm's development was influenced by feedback from military customers, who indicated its utility in breaching operations. Ghost Robotics anticipates new funding for a contract with the U.S. Army's Combat Capabilities Development Command in 2026, as the military seeks to enhance robotic capabilities for combat scenarios.
