DEFENSE
A groundbreaking ceremony for a new small arms training range in Hawthorne, Nevada, was held on December 5, attended by key officials including U.S. Rep. Mark Amodei and U.S.
Sen. Jacky Rosen. The $20 million facility, set to be completed by 2026, will feature 16 rifle lanes, 15 pistol lanes, and four machine gun lanes, allowing Nevada soldiers to train locally and significantly reducing training costs previously incurred by traveling out of state.
