DEFENSE

Guam and CNMI leaders, including Gov. Lourdes Leon Guerrero and Gov. David Apatang, held a Civil-Military Coordination Council meeting on January 28.

This marked the first participation of CNMI representatives in the CMCC, aimed at fostering military-civilian partnerships. Key discussions focused on regional military readiness and collaboration. The CMCC, established in 2010, aims to enhance cooperation between the Department of Defense and local governments. The next meeting is planned for late Spring.
