HAL's Naval Utility Helicopter-Marine to Debut in 2027 with MRO Hub in Assam

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to debut its Utility Helicopter-Marine (UH-M) for the Indian Navy in 2027, following a maiden flight scheduled for the 2025-26 financial year. The helicopter, designed to meet the Navy's requirement for 76 twin-engine units, features advancements such as foldable rotors and naval-grade sensors. Additionally, HAL is establishing a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Hub in Missamari, Assam, to enhance Army helicopter serviceability and support India's self-reliance initiatives.
