Hanwha Aerospace from South Korea has commenced construction of its first European factory, the Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) Europe, in Petrești, Dâmbovița County, Romania. The facility aims to produce K9 self-propelled howitzers and K10 ammunition resupply vehicles, with a capacity for expansion into advanced land systems. The project is expected to create up to 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening Romania's defense industrial base and positioning it as a military producer and exporter in Europe.
