Hanwha Aerospace Romania has commenced construction of a factory in Petrești, Dâmbovița, for producing K9 self-propelled howitzers and K10 ammunition resupply vehicles. Named Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) Europe, this facility marks the company's first European production site and aims to enhance Romania's defense industry capabilities.

The project supports Romania's ambition to become a European defense production hub and meets NATO and EU security objectives. The factory will feature modern assembly lines and aims for a local production localization level of up to 80%.
