Health Minister Criticizes YSRCP's Signature Campaign Against PPP Medical Colleges
Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav accused Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of staging a 'drama of signature campaign' regarding the PPP model for medical colleges, claiming it is politically motivated. He alleged that YSRCP leaders lack genuine public support and are fabricating signatures.
The TDP-led coalition government plans to operate 10 medical colleges under the PPP model for the welfare of students, countering YSRCP's portrayal of it as privatization. Yadav stated that the PPP model is supported by a Parliamentary Committee and has been endorsed by NITI Aayog and the National Medical Commission.
He noted that the model is also successful in defense projects and other sectors. The coalition government has retained ownership rights in its PPP implementation.
