Huntington Ingalls Industries has expanded its Portchester facility in England to meet the increasing demand for unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) from the UK's Royal Navy and European navies. The expansion will enable the assembly of the Remus 620 UUV and enhance training capabilities, while also supporting a partnership with Babcock for autonomous UUV launch systems. HII has delivered over 750 Remus UUVs globally and plans to showcase its Romulus systems to European clients by 2026.
