HRE Shares Surge 66% on Scandium and Yttrium Discovery at Radium Hill in South Australia
Heavy Rare Earths (ASX:HRE) saw a 66.67% increase in share price to 6c after discovering scandium and yttrium at the Radium Hill project in South Australia. The company reported high-grade results of 996ppm scandium trioxide and 2236ppm yttrium trioxide from rock chip sampling along an 8km structural zone near the historical Radium Hill mine.
The project, known for its past uranium production of 2.6Mlb between 1954 and 1961, has not been drilled in 64 years. Meanwhile, BMC Minerals (ASX:BMC) debuted on the ASX with shares opening at $2.25 and climbing to $2.75, following a $100 million IPO.
BMC's Kudz Ze Kayah project in Canada's Yukon aims to be the largest standalone silver and zinc producer in the country. Energy World Corporation (ASX:EWC) is advancing LNG projects in the Philippines and Indonesia, while Blue Star Helium (ASX:BNL) is nearing first helium production in Colorado by the end of 2025.
