Iceland's Environmental and Energy Agency has advanced solar energy solutions through the HYBES project, which included a multi-stakeholder meeting and the creation of an instruction manual for small systems in 2024. A targeted grant for remote households led to one-third of the funded solar installations becoming operational by September 2025, enhancing community attitudes towards solar energy. Following a market shift in autumn 2025, plans for an updated manual and another stakeholder meeting were initiated.
