IIT Madras has launched IITM Global, an international research and innovation platform, to enhance its global presence and establish itself as a multinational university. Inaugurated by External Affairs Minister S.

Jaishankar, the initiative aims to facilitate joint research, startup collaborations, and academic programs, with signed agreements in the U.S., U.K., and Germany. IITM Global will initially expand its presence in the U.S., Dubai, Malaysia, and Germany, focusing on key research areas such as data science, quantum computing, and health technology.
