India Approves 12 MW Hydroelectric Project in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand

The Indian government has approved a 12 MW hydroelectric project in Tankul, Dharchula, Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, which will benefit local regions and neighboring Nepal. The run-of-the-river project, estimated to cost Rs 146 crore, is expected to generate 69.66 million kWh annually and will utilize double-jet Pelton turbines at its powerhouse in Mangti.
