DEFENSESPACE ECONOMY
India's Ministry of Defence has designated 2025 as the 'Year of Reforms' to enhance its armed forces through modernization and indigenisation, allocating over ₹2 lakh crore for key acquisitions like MQ-9B drones. The initiative, aligned with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat program, aims to reduce import dependency and strengthen operational capabilities, while the aerospace sector is projected to grow to $70 billion by 2030. Despite facing challenges such as cyber vulnerabilities, the reforms are set to establish a robust defence ecosystem and improve global competitiveness.
