India Plans to Establish Rocket-Cum-Missile Force, Says Army Chief
DEFENSE
India is planning to establish a 'rocket-cum-missile' force to enhance its combat capabilities in response to security challenges from China and Pakistan, according to Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi. This initiative, which follows insights gained from Operation Sindoor, will integrate advanced missile systems like BrahMos and Pralay, and aims to update the Army's organizational structure and warfighting doctrines for multi-domain operations. The command structure for the new force is still under review, with initial operations expected to be conducted within existing artillery regiments.
