The Indian Navy has released an Expression of Interest for an indigenous 30mm Naval Surface Gun with an Electro-Optical Fire Control System, part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The project aims to replace outdated foreign systems with a lightweight, networked weapon capable of engaging diverse threats. Prototypes are expected within 36 months, with the potential for over 100 units ordered, enhancing India's defence manufacturing and operational capabilities.
