Indian Navy Ships Visit Bahrain to Strengthen Maritime Security Ties Amid 77th Republic Day Celebrations

In September 2024, three Indian Navy ships visited Bahrain to bolster maritime security ties and conduct training with the Bahrain Defence Force and Combined Maritime Forces. This visit coincided with India's 77th Republic Day celebrations and the 53rd anniversary of its embassy in Bahrain, emphasizing their long-standing historical and trade relations, which reached $1.64 billion in 2024-25. The Fifth Bahrain-India High Joint Commission Meeting in November 2024 focused on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, with the next session planned for 2025 in Bahrain.
