India's Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi, has declared the 1963 Pak-China agreement on Shaksgam Valley illegal, reaffirming India's claim to the territory. The Ministry of External Affairs condemned Chinese infrastructure projects in the region as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, asserting that Pakistan unlawfully ceded approximately 5,180 square kilometers of land to China. The Indian government warned that any activities in the valley would be met with opposition, highlighting the importance of maintaining territorial integrity.
