India's Ministry of Defence is finalizing a security framework for its indigenous military drone ecosystem to combat the illegal use of Chinese components in unmanned aerial vehicles. The framework, drafted by the Army Design Bureau and recently cleared by the Director General (Acquisition), requires over 30 tests for compliance with security standards and will apply to all tri-services. It aims to enhance software security and scrutinize hardware sourcing to prevent procurement from hostile nations, particularly in light of past tensions with China.
