NATURAL GASCARBON CAPTURE

INPEX Masela, Ltd. is enhancing collaboration with the Maluku Provincial Government and the Tanimbar Islands District Government to support the development of the Abadi gas project. During a courtesy visit led by President Director Kenji Hasegawa, discussions were held with Maluku Governor Hendrik Lewerissa and Tanimbar District Head Ricky Jauwerissa.

INPEX is currently focused on the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase, crucial for achieving the Final Investment Decision (FID). The project, which aims to enhance Indonesia's energy security, includes the integration of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology for low-carbon LNG supply. The Abadi gas project will establish two onshore LNG trains with a total capacity of 9.5 million metric tons per annum and a domestic gas supply of 150 million standard cubic feet per day.
