Iran Sells Nearly $3 Billion in Missiles and Drones to Russia
DEFENSE
Iran has sold nearly $3 billion in missiles and drones to Russia since October 2021, with contracts totaling approximately $2.7 billion for military equipment, including ballistic missiles and Shahed-136 drones. The partnership has deepened amid sanctions against Russia following the Ukraine war, although a strategic agreement signed in January 2025 did not include a mutual defense pact. Despite the collaboration, Russia did not support Iran during external strikes last year.
