SOLAR ENERGY
Iran's renewable energy capacity has increased to 4,162 MW, driven by a fivefold expansion in solar installations. The current administration has achieved a 2.5 times increase in renewable capacity compared to previous periods.
A new financing model, approved in August, emphasizes joint investment with the private sector. Future targets include reaching 11,000 MW by next summer and 12,000 MW by March 2027. Regulations will require industries to source 20% and government buildings 40% of their electricity from renewable sources by 2028.
