Island Power Producers plans to establish a liquefied natural gas (LNG) power plant at Nassau Cruise Port by 2027, pending environmental reviews. The facility, designed to provide 70 MW of power via an undersea cable, aims to enhance energy supply and reduce carbon emissions from docked cruise ships. Public comments on the environmental impact assessment are currently being solicited before final project approval.
