The Italian Army has received its first SAMP/T NG and GRIFO air defense systems as part of a modernization initiative to enhance its air and missile defense capabilities. These systems, featuring advanced interception technology and long-range detection, will contribute to a NATO-integrated defense network and support Ukraine's defense efforts through a bilateral agreement with France. Italy plans to deploy six SAMP/T NG batteries and nine GRIFO systems.
