Jigawa State Approves N91.04 Billion for Infrastructure, Power, and Healthcare Projects
Jigawa State Executive Council has approved development projects totaling N91.04 billion, focusing on road construction, power supply, healthcare, flood control, and public infrastructure. The council approved N689.38 million for electrification and solarization of various government institutions, including Jigawa State Polytechnic and specialist hospitals.
Additionally, N563 million was allocated for the construction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion workshops in Dutse and Hadejia. The council also allocated N15.24 billion for solar-powered mini-grids at key government facilities.
For road infrastructure, N5.5 billion was reallocated for the development of 58.56 kilometers of township roads, valued at N57.79 billion. Other approvals included N204.03 million for mosque construction and N1.07 billion for hostel and staff quarters at a Skill Acquisition Centre. In healthcare, N8.05 billion was designated for upgrading general hospitals statewide.
