Kano Electricity Distribution Company (Kano DisCo) achieved a 50% increase in industrial power consumption in 2025, rising from 43.33 GWh in January to 62.14 GWh by December, totaling around 569 GWh over eleven months. This growth is attributed to infrastructure upgrades financed by Future Energy Africa and dedicated feeders for major manufacturers, despite Nigeria's overall energy challenges. The company is also exploring bilateral power agreements and a Special Tariff Program to further support industrial growth.
