Calgary's Kathairos Solutions is scaling a nitrogen-based system to eliminate methane venting from pneumatic devices at oil and gas well sites. Since its commercial launch, the company has abated over 850,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent emissions across Canada and the U.S., partnering with over 70 producers.

The technology aligns with new Canadian methane regulations requiring near-elimination of venting by 2030. Additionally, Kathairos has received investment from Halfway River Group and recognition at the 2025 Platts Global Energy Awards.
