Kazakhstan to Localize Production of OTOKAR's Tulpar Tracked Armored Vehicles
DEFENSE
Kazakhstan is set to localize the production of Turkish OTOKAR's Tulpar tracked infantry fighting vehicles, enhancing its military manufacturing capabilities and deepening defense ties with Türkiye. The Besqaru plant in the Karaganda region will expand its operations to include tracked vehicles, with domestic production aimed at achieving over 60% local content and positioning Kazakhstan as an exporter within the Eurasian Economic Union. The plant is scheduled for upgrades in 2026, with trial assembly expected to begin in the fourth quarter of that year.
