Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) is set to enhance green investments at its Olkaria Green Energy Park with an electric vehicle manufacturing facility. Announced by Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, the project will create over 3,000 direct jobs and an additional 10,000 indirect jobs.

This initiative aligns with Kenya's Vision 300 to connect 300 million Africans to electricity by 2030 and the government's push for a diversified renewable energy portfolio. KenGen aims to expand its geothermal power generation capacity significantly by 2034, further promoting sustainable energy solutions.
