HYDRO POWER
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government plans to build a 22-kilometer transmission line in Swat district to transmit hydropower. Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) have agreed to start construction soon, expected to save billions and generate significant revenue.
A recent high-level meeting reviewed the project and discussed ongoing hydropower projects in the region. The new line will connect Madin Grid Station to Khawaza Khela Grid Station, enhancing electricity transmission from future hydropower projects.
