KIS Group and PT SMART Tbk have commenced construction of a Bio-CNG facility at the Padang Halaban Palm Oil Mill in North Sumatra, marking KIS Group's fourth Bio-CNG plant in Indonesia. The plant, scheduled to operate in Q1 2027, will convert methane from Palm Oil Mill Effluent into renewable Bio-CNG, producing approximately 127,000 MMBTU annually and reducing CO₂ emissions by an estimated 62,484 tonnes. The Bio-CNG will supply Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia, advancing Indonesia's clean energy goals.
