Kitson Group of Companies Celebrates 75 Years in Bermuda with Anniversary Event
Kitson Group of Companies has celebrated 75 years of operations in Bermuda with an anniversary event at the Rosedon Hotel. Founded in 1947 by Commander Geoffrey Kitson, the family-run business has evolved from its roots in tourism to focus on commercial real estate, hospitality, and retail, while managing an offshore investment portfolio.
The group owns the largest privately installed solar photovoltaic and thermal hot water systems in Bermuda. Current chairman Kirkham Kitson and his family have been active in the community, supporting local students.
The company's leadership has passed down to the fourth generation, with Scott Kitson serving as president and CEO, and family members involved in various roles, including his son Matthew, the general manager at the Rosedon Hotel. The business has expanded over the decades, acquiring properties and launching ventures like Bermuda Island Cruises.
