Kyrgyzstan Opens First Regional Helicopter Repair Center in Ak-Chiy Free Economic Zone

Kyrgyzstan has inaugurated its first helicopter repair center in the Ak-Chiy Free Economic Zone, primarily for Mi-171 and Mi-8 helicopters. The project, funded by Russian investment of approximately $5 million, aims to enhance the aviation sector in the country, create jobs, and improve technological capabilities.
Currently, 15 Kyrgyz pilots are training in Russia and will return to work in various governmental organizations. Future plans include establishing a training complex with a helicopter simulator.
