A Leitrim Councillor has urged the Local Authority to engage with the Irish Central Border Area Network regarding a cross-border geothermal energy demonstration project. Concerns about drilling into petroleum reserves were addressed by a government geologist. The Councillor seeks assurances that geothermal activities will not be proposed in the Lough Allen Basin.
