Leonardo Extends MRO Contract with Heli-One for Norway's AW101 SAR Helicopters until 2030
Leonardo has extended its support contract with Heli-One for the Norwegian All-Weather Search and Rescue Helicopter (NAWSARH) program, ensuring maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services through 2030 for the Royal Norwegian Air Force's fleet of AW101 SAR Queen helicopters. All 16 helicopters are now operational across Norway, providing critical lifesaving capabilities.
The contract allows Heli-One's Norwegian maintenance specialists to work alongside Leonardo staff at Air Force bases, ensuring 24/7 fleet availability. The partnership emphasizes the collaboration between government, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and MRO providers, leveraging decades of helicopter maintenance experience to support missions in challenging environments.
