The Ministry of National Defense of Liberia is set to begin the recruitment of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) in February 2026, pending funding approval. The recruitment will target young Liberians aged 18-35 with specific eligibility criteria.

Testing centers will be decentralized across various regions to ensure accessibility. Additionally, the Ministry is working on improving living conditions for AFL personnel through the reclamation of military barracks.
