DEFENSE

Lockheed Martin and Fujitsu signed a contract on February 12 for the procurement of power supply units for the SPY-7 radar, a key component of Japan's Aegis System Equipped Vessels. This agreement follows a prior MOU established in May 2025 and marks the first procurement deal between the companies. The SPY-7 radar supports Japan's missile defense strategy and will be integrated into the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's ASEV program, with vessels expected to be commissioned in 2027 and 2028.
