Lockheed Martin to Quadruple THAAD Missile Production Amid Increased F-35 Deliveries
DEFENSE
Lockheed Martin Corp. has secured a framework agreement with the Pentagon to increase THAAD missile interceptor production from 96 to 400 units annually, backed by a multibillion-dollar investment over three years. Despite a 9.1% sales increase in its fourth quarter, the company reported an adjusted profit that fell short of analyst expectations. Looking ahead, Lockheed anticipates net sales between $77.5 billion and $80 billion for 2026, amid a projected $1.5 trillion defense budget for fiscal 2027.
